MAC Address
It is a 12-character hexa-decimal number, split in twos and separated by semicolon
Example: a4:c3:f0:85:ac:2d
The first 6 characters in the address represent the manufacturer of the device and the last 6 digits represent the device saying it is unique
Devices in a network all of them will have a physical network interface. which is a microchip board found on the device motherboard
This mac address is unique to the device anywhere. However MAC address can be faked or be spoofed which refers the method called [[spoofing]] in which a system pretends to identify as another device using its [[MAC Address]]
